“ If you’re looking for truly genuine dining experience, Charcoal Gardenia is it. Tonight we were greeted with warm hospitality and a welcoming atmosphere. What really stood out was the authenticity of the cuisine. Each dish is carefully crafted with ingredients that transport you straight to the heart of the region's culinary roots. One of the highlights of my visit was the incredible conversation I had with the owner. After settling in, the owner came by to check on us, and we ended up chatting for a while. I highly recommend! ”

My favorite part of the restaurant is the community, you feel like you are truly family. It feels good to support people who genuinely care about what you think of their service and food! I will definitely return to try their coffee and desserts, and maybe even some hookah. You can’t go wrong... stop and see for yourself. “ Such a delicious meal at Charcoal Gardenia. The mixed mezze sampler was fresh, delicious and filling served with non stop warm bread. The mixed meat platter easily could feed 10-12 people, the spices and flavors out of this world. Don’t leave without one of their signature coffees and desserts. I highly recommend the S’mores crepe wow. ”
“ My family has been frequenting this restaurant pretty regularly and I heard their food was pretty good. I was so excited to try it. I came here tonight with a table of 9 to celebrate their regular customer, my mother. The server who I found out was the owner was very friendly at first and informed me that my family is here all the time. I told him I know as I heard raving reviews about their lamb chops. The appetizers did not disappoint! Kibbeh, soup, and the cigarras were so good! Then we moved on to the entrees. The lamb chops were flavorful. How can I forget the mint lemonade? I never got to dessert though. I was in a food coma. But i managed to make room for the small “large” white mocha coffee. I hope they come out with 2xl size soon!!! Oh and the staff was wonderful! Vey friendly, attentive, and even sang happy birthday to my mother, which she appreciated. Definitely recommend! Just don’t eat beforehand. ”
“ Wonderful new Palestinian restaurant with really delicious food and attentive, considerate service. We did a veggie meal of different apps and it was more than enough food for 3 people. They started us with complimentary warm, fluffy, wonderful pita bread and green olives, and everything just kept getting better. They were also nice enough to lower the speaker volume on request! One suggestion for them is to add an option for a side order of a skewer of the kebabs. In our party of 3 only 1 wanted meat and did not want so much food as comes with the platter. Being able to order a side of a kafta kebab with our other items would have been perfect. The knafe was not available, the vanilla ice cream missed the mark, and the brownie in the sundae was way too sweet. But, they were nice enough to make those complimentary! Will probably do one of the crepes or the waffle stick next time. Will definitely return!! ”
“ I have never believed the idea of a hidden gem, but this place honestly is a hidden gem on Staten Island. The Service was unbelievable, the wait staff were constantly checking on our table, the mint lemonade was the best tasting thing I ever had! Everything was fresh from the Falafel, the Mezza Platter, the spicy kofta was unbelievable, the rice was very flavorful. There was not one bland dish here. This place makes you feel like family, and the hookah lasts a while, packed nicely, and always kept hot with charcoal throughout the night. You will not be forgetten here and you will be fed the best food Staten Island has! This is THE restaurant to go to, you will be treated like family! ”
